Hearing Loss

• Muffled hearing
• Other people seem to mumble
• Asking people to repeat what they said
• Listening to the television or radio at higher volume than in the past
• Trouble understanding conversations, especially with background noise or when more than one person is talking
• Ability to hear people speaking but not fully understanding the words
• Difficulty understanding on the phone
• Plugged feeling in the ear
• Tinnitus or ringing in the ear
• Withdrawal and avoiding social situations which are tiring and stressful when one is unable to understand conversation well
• Depression
